" A Delicious Experience "
- The Taste of Tanasbourne is Hillsboro's new annual festival celebrating arts
and culture, with a mission to expand, improve and diversify the economy of the
area through variety and community activity.
Overview
- The Taste of Tanasbourne will be held August 15th through the 17th, 2008,
with a Friday Night Gala to celebrate the opening of the festival. Guests will
enjoy the creative work of 125 artists, wine tasting, a beer garden, artist
demonstrations, music, food sampling, concessions, and getting involved with
"Youth Art-In-Action".
- The City of Hillsboro is quickly becoming a destination for the arts, and is
home to a number of award winning wineries. Located on the edge of
Washington County wine country, The Taste of Tanasbourne will be one of the
major cultural events in the Portland/Metro area. It will be advertised through
local radio, our website, festival directories, local print, and on
websites of participating artists, sponsors, wineries, & musicians.
Location
- The Taste of Tanasbourne is sited at the corner of 194th Terrace and Venetian
Drive, just across from The Streets of Tanasbourne Shopping Mall. This is an ideal
location for an outdoor, community event. The surrounding parks, galleries, coffee
shops, restaurants, and boutiques make the festival venue easy access for drivers,
and pedestrian-friendly. Mid-August is generally warm, but since this is an outdoor
festival, please be prepared for changes in weather.

- Adults $5
- 12 and under FREE
- Parking is free: There is plenty of parking at the movie theatre across the street,
and in the corporate parking lots around the festival site.
- Watch for discount coupons on our website and in local newsprint. They will
be available closer to the festival.
- $1 of every admission will be donated to the
Walters Cultural Arts Center
and the
Sequoia Gallery;
to help support the arts in the City of Hillsboro.

Friday Night Gala
- The Friday Night Gala will be an evening of wine tasting, food sampling, music, and
mingling. It is an opportunity for The Taste of Tanasbourne to thank each person
involved in creating a successful community event.
- The Gala will begin at 5pm and continue until 9pm. A fine smattering of food and drink
sampling will be complimentary to all in attendance. Additional imbibements will be available
as well. Some artists may still be setting up their booths, but it will be a well-timed and
well-managed opportunity for a bite to eat and some lively conversation. We look forward to
meeting all of you there!
